    As per title.

I've just ordered 2 of the £40.00 EBuyer 1000V/A, plus cables, for my PC and projector and just wondered if the noise filtering and all the other protection would improve a Hi-Fi instead of my 4 way surge protector?

It could possible make it sound worse if the UPS cannot cope with the transient power requirements of the power amps.

You also have to be careful with the interference. Some of the more modern APC ups systems are not very well shielded.

I would definitely second that...I have a Belkin UPS for my PC and cant put it anywhere near the HiFi due to interference.
For true mains isolation,a regenerative supply would be the best option, but very expensive,as models from PS Audio and Accuphase will show.

Connected up one UPS to my projector and it stopped the flickering on ECO mode, and now going to try the other on the Hi-Fi just to see what happens. It won't be left on it as it's for my PC's, but why are they so bloody heavy  is it a full size lead/acid inside?

I can see why you connected up the projector. Only need one power outage to blow a bulb.

What kind of results did you get with the hi-fi?
