uploading tunes to ipod

    i have just got my 1st ipod 4gb mini and i only want to put selected songs onto it from my pc. i understand i have to load them through i tunes but would still prefer media player to be my default player on my pc. is this possible or will i tunes take over? also when i put single tracks on the ipod can is till put into seperate folders on there.

    You really need to use iTunes with your iPod, you also need to have Windows XP or Windows 2000 for iTunes unfortunately. You can import stuff from Windows media player into iTunes, so you could import just the tracks that you want to put onto the iPod.
