Upgrading to HDMI 2.1

I'm looking to upgrade my TV from a non-4K Samsung 40" TV to the LG 49NANO866NA, which supports HDMI 2.1.

I currently have a home cinema system where the receiver includes HDMI 1.4 only. It's an oldish system, Samsung HT-D6750W but I'm happy with it.

I'm wary that the benefits of having a HDMI 2.1 supporting TV is going to be lost if I were to continue using this home cinema system.

Is there anyway around this?

Hi, wary of what? Just plug your system in as before and carry on 2.1 effects nothing in your setup, it just brings more functionality to systems that have corresponding inputs yours doesn't so nothing changes.
