thinking of popping a new hard drive into Sky+ following this forums useful instructions on the hummer site .But have the following questions .
if you use a 250 gb hard drive , the capacity is going to be huge. is there any way that the pages of your recordings be tailored into categories ..
Can the hard drive be accessed by your main computer for editing the recordings..
Can the Sky + box be networked so its content can be used else

    cheers in advance

I think you can now sort the planner alphabetically but not by category.

You can't access the recordings directly from a PC as they are encrypted. You could connect the box to a TV card in the PC and record onto the PC's hard disk but this would leave the original recording as it was and it can't be edited.

You can't network the box either. You could take another output to another screen but this only enables you to view what is currently being output by the box. You couldn't, for example, watch a programme on the box while piping a recording to another screen at the same time.
