Upgrading RXV671 to RXV677 to pre out Fronts to a Stereo Amp

Hi everyone this is my first post, I have a problem which is mostly related to a matter of space (and then some convenience too). I have a 5.1 setup in my living room (Yamaha rxv671), but in the same rack, also an old stereo amp, a Pioneer SA-706.

So my idea is to use the nice front speakers attached to the SA-706 as front speakers for the Yamaha 5.1 amp, saving space and resource$. Thing is, my RXV671 nice as it is, has no pre-out connections. So, I'm thinking about upgrading to the cheapest one in the yamaha line that has both pre-out and spotify connect support (missing that now).

Question is: I will be able to connect *just* the front speakers pre-out from the 677 to the Pionner stereo amp and use Pioneer's speakers as fronts for the yamaha? Any thing I need to know? The Yamaha amp will be fully functional and the Pioneer will be non operational when I do this?

The RXV677 has no pre outs. You need at least an RXV7xx model if wanting pre outs.

Thanks Dante! you're right, my wrong. I've decided to put this on hold, lot of money for the upgrade anyway..
