Im currently redoing my cinema room and am thinking of moving my Pioneer 500M to the bedroom and replacing it with a 55inch OLED possibly Panasonic or LG.
Im not going any bigger as I have an Epson 9400 that's gives me 88inch or 110 scope screen and also the sound is unimportant as it will all go through my amp and speakers.
Has anyone upgraded from the Pioneer which is still great.
Thanks

We can recommend the Sony 55A8, great TV with beautiful picture.

Thanks I’ll take a look

An old thread now, but still relevant today:

Most people move from Plasma to OLED. Unlike Plasma and LCD TVs each OLED shares the same panel, so the differences in picture quality between even the cheapest and most expensive is very small.

Beware that a new TV won't necessarily be an upgrade in all areas. The general gist is to upgrade to a new model if you have plans to pair the TV with 4k and HDR material, but don't bother if you are predominantly watching HD or less still (like most broadcast TV).

Thanks for the advice I watch movies and football on the Projector so the tv Is just for casual viewing
Maybe I’ll keep the Pioneer and as I’m redoing my cinema room make the opening big enough for the future
Thanks
