    Hi All,

I currently have a Videologic digitheatre DTS  and have finally decided this is nowhere good enough anymore

I plan on using my current Hifi speakers (B&W 603 S2's) as fronts and buy some 2nd hand B&W 601 S2's for the rear,CC6 S2's for front and rear centres and a Velodyne VX-10 sub.

The problem i have is deciding on the amp which would suit me best. I would like it to have component inputs and outputs and be in the £500-£550 range. I would also like to run my Linn Classik through it.

So far i have seen the following that seem to fit the bill:

    Denon AVR-2803
    Yamaha RXV-740
    Marrantz SR-7400

Does anyone have any opinions which would be the best option or alternative suggestions before i go and demo/buy anything.

have you considered going second hand? At that range you could get a denon 10se which i suspect to be a better sonic performer (minus bells and whistles) than the amps mentioned. Im not sure that it has component in though
