Upgrading Marantz PM6002...

Hello,

As the title says, it could be time to upgrade my amp. I really like the Marantz, but I've been looking at the new ones and also the Cambridge Audio CXA61.

I'm using a Technics 1500c, Marantz CD6005 and a pair of Monitor Audio Bronze BX5 (floorstanders). Any suggestions would be really helpful.

How much are you thinking of spending?

If you like the Marantz then the obvious choice would be a new PM6007 (£500).

The Arcan SA10 is another option - Sevenoaks have ex demo on sale at £500. They also have the Musical Fidelity M2SI ex demo at £550 which again would be worth reading up on. These three will keep the marantz like sound i.e. warm side of neutral.

I think £500 would be ideal. A second hand CXA60 is another option I'm considering.
