Upgrading home cinema system

Hi there guys, im pretty new to these forums so go easy!

I currently have a sony surround sound system, i bought it a while ago and it has lasted me pretty well.

Ive completely done up my games room now, and i want to upgrade the surround system in there as the speakers and amp are looking a little aged.

The thing is, i dont have a big budget. The max i can spend on both receiver and speakers is £600.

Ive always like sony, and i like there new range of receivers, but im really not sure and would like some advice.

For the money (£600), is there anything you would recommend ?

If you were me, what would you buy?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks alot,

Phil

Hi there.

It has to be silver! Or at least part silver. And i prefer smaller (but still powerful) speakers!

Its going to be mainly for movies, and games. Maybe connecting all of my consoles to it and maybe my pc.

But mainly for movies and games

Woah! are the decks going to run through this or do you have a seperate system for decks?

Looks like you need a lot of inputs though so check this out also how big is the room as most of these systems will do a modest job in a small romm but in a large one not going to sound good.

My Vote goes for Canton CD1's and Yamaha 540 or Marantz SR5400 and MS premieres
