    Hey all,

Has anyone here upgraded their hard drive on either a sky + box or a humax 8000 freeview box? If so is it relatively cheap and easy to do or is it quite complicated?

    Cheers :)

The Sky+ box isn't terribly complicated if you are familiar with PC hardware. A lot depends on what make of box you have, because Amstrad boxes are a lot more "picky" about drives than Pace boxes.

    See www.humvee.co.uk/sky.htm

Mines coming next week. Are these IDE or SATA drives? (Am hoping IDE as I have a spare 120gb IDE).

Also what format FAT or NTSF (spare is NTSF so here's hoping)?

    Cheers

    No need to format them.

Mobily, check out the 'How to' thread in the PVR's & VCR's section for info on PVR8000T upgrading.

    :hiya:

Sky+ took about 15 mins to upgrade, would highly recommend the maxtor 160 quickview fm technoworld. Have a read at the sticky on pvrs and sky+, theres alot of good links there.
