I have the basic £16/month package and a Sky+ box (installed 8 months ago). I want a Sky HD box so that it provides a HDMI connection to my LCD TV (Sony KDL-40D3500), and to receive FTA HD channels. I'm not interested in Freesat until a PVR version is released.
Can I simply buy a Sky HD box off ebay and plug it in?
Do I need to change the LNB?
What, if any, FTA HD channels (e.g. BBC HD) can I receive if I don't have the £10 HD subscription.?

Sorry for all the questions, but I'd thought I'd ask them all in one hit! Thanks in advance.

yes you can buy one of ebay, you'll need to call sky to sync the card, the connection s from sky+ just need to be undone and connected to the skyHD box and you'll just get bbc, lux & channel4 in HD as free to air.
