    Hi,

Had a popcorn hour A200 for the last 5 years, and have played 1080p MKV videos from my bluray collection seamlessly and have done the same with 720p videos.
It's briliant, plays any music and video format I throw at it, but now I'm looking for a player that has a simple UI, plays 4k MKV video, and is easy to use.

I've heard about Zidoo and Zappiti, but my budget is £150.

    Any suggestions?

Have a look at the PopcornHour VTen, right price bracket and gives you the options you are looking for (the 'simple UI' is subjective though) :)

Also consider the Android market too, such as Minix Neo U1. The UI is simple once you get to know it, plus you can skin it in a number of ways. The Kodi UI looks lovely and I don't miss having to use YAMJ and keep maintaining it.

    Thanks.

The Minix Neo U1 looks like it fits the bill perfectly, plays 4k video and is also quite simple to use.
Think that'll be the one That's chosen.

Amazon Fire TV 4K does all you want & is the best value.

    Haven't considered the Amazon Fire.
I'm going to look them up tonight and see what I can find out, from a quick browse on them they have difficulty playing 4K MKV's though and don't play AC3 audio.

Also there is no dedicated spdif output, if that is important to you.

The Zidoo X9S is now available for £98 . It does get mixed reviews though from users.
