upgrading from 5 speaker set up with denon 3802 to seven speakers

    i have denon 3802 with 5 speaker setup, i wish to take advantage of the dts-es discreet 6.1 etc at present front speakers center and surrounds , surrounds are connected to (a) i have purchased a pair of mission m70s to add to system do i connect to (b) speaker connection or to rear surround do i have to enable multi in system set up thank you

    That's one looooooong sentence you've got there.
    But if you're asking to use surround B or surround back for the two back speakers in ES/EX, then the answer is the surround back.
    For the multiroom part, i don't know.

    The relevant page of the manual is page 18. I have attempted to attach the page but I am not sure the link works.

    Anyway,

    1. in "Setup", "Speaker Configuration" select "Surround Back" and configure the speakers "small or large" as appropriate.

    2. in "Setup", "Power Amp Assignment" select "Surround Back".

    See also page 21 "auto flag detect".
