OK guys I am looking for some more of your precious advice ....

I'm looking to upgrade my current AV Amp (Yamaha - can't remember the model number but a great little performer) for something with 6.1 and DPLII, I'm not worried about THX certification and have a budget of £300. I was looking at the Marantz 4300 which fits the bill and is available at RS for £259.

    Any other suggestions?

As always thanks for the help.

Not wanting to promote Yammy in any way (well, not too much;) ) but in my experience the amp's have the same kind of sound throught the range. Ya know, they call it "Natural Sound" or something like that. Unless you have listened to other amp's Denon, marantz, sony etc. you may want to look into a newer yamaha amp first.

For specs (but ignore the prices) go to www.yamaha-audio.co.uk

    hope this helps...
