    Hi
I currently use an Iscan pro with my Seleco 400 crt pj.
Whilst happy with the picture I wonder if I could do better (upgraditis?)
What economical upgrade path could I make if I sold the Iscan for another line doubler or scaler.
What I'm looking for is a real noticable upgrade to picture quality for as cheap as possible.
This would hopefully be an interim measure prior to selling my pj for a Barco so whatever I buy must be compatabile with the Barco at a later stage.
How much would my Iscan be worth? It is in perfect condition with box, manual cables etc.
Any help and advice gratefully received.

    Regards

    Mark

The iScan Ultra was selling for just over 400 quid exc VAT (new) about a month ago. They were suppose to be getting rid of the stock with the old logo on it. Obviously this effects what you would expect to get the your iScan.

I would keep them as a matched pair. As they compliment themselves well.
I would look at the Visoion From Lumagen. It would just about scan low enough for your 400 and would then make a perfect partner for say an 808.
Have you done the lens upgrade yet?

Yes I have the glass lenses installed(Plastic still in garage).
    Thanks for your view.
I suspected selling them together would be the best way to go and you have confirmed it.
    Off to the classifieds then?
The pj has just under 3100 hrs, installed by C Frost.
Anyone have an idea on price for them both.

Salacious- Not knowing the difference between the pro & the ultra I have no idea what price it would fetch but thanks anyway:)

The main difference between the pro and the ultra were that the ultra had 2xS-Video, 2xcomposite and 2xYPbPr inputs where the pro only has one of each. The ultra may have some others tweaks (CUE fix, different ADCs, newer SI chip) but it is similar. UK prices about 400 pounds for Pro and 500 for the Ultra (inc VAT)
