You want at least the front 3 speakers to be the same make and model.

Going from a Bose system to another Cinema speaker brand @ £700 will do two things. Because Bose exaggerate the bass levels you may find that most system at this price point look a little flat and almost lacking in bass. But you will gain, midrange that will creating a vast amount more clarity which means you'll hear more than just breaking glass.

    Q Acoustics 3000 5.1 Speaker package
Q Acoustics 3010 Walnut 5.1 Speaker Package - Q Acoustics - AudioVisual Online - UK Home Cinema and Hifi Specialists

These would be my first point of call as they are a good all round speaker solution. They are quite a bit larger than the Bose System you already own.

After that, I would say you need to add I would say that you'd be better off adding a better subwoofer once you have the capital to upgrade it so you can bring some of that kick back into the room

You'll see that the Q Acoustic Subwoofer was over £300 at launch if you have checked our list of woofers above, but choosing an an alternative like Rel Acoustics TZero you will gain a significant upgrade over the Q Acoustics subwoofer when you are ready
