    Hi there,

What is the upgrade path from a 3805 is it the AVC-A1X and will that work with a Panasonic 37PWD7B if I add a HDMI card.

Are there tangible benefits in this upgrade?

Finally for now does the AVC-A1X have a FM tuner?

Many thanks for any input, Tim.

    Hi

The A11XV is the next model up from the 3805. The one above that is the A1XV. Neither have Tuners as they're AV Amps as against AV Receivers. As for whether they'll work via HDMI with your Panasonic, you'll need to check what resolutions the Panasonic can accept and at what Refresh Rate (50hz, 60hz etc).

My KA1SE is audibly superior to the 3805 so the A11XV & A1XV should be even more so. :)

The HDMI card for the Panasonic PW7 plasmas doesn't accept 50Hz signals, so you could only play region 1 NTSC DVDs through it. Better to stick with component connection.
