    Hi,

I've just bought some B&W 601s3 front/rear speakers (very impressed with them so far) but now wonder whether or not to replace my 1700.

    My reasons are:
    1. No DTS or PL2 on the 1700.

    2. No front AV.

    3. Trying to get way from black equipment.

So my questions are: if I bought a Yamaha 450, Denon 1705, or Pioneer 814 would I be making a backward step sound quality wise, and would any particular model suit my speakers more?

I've chosen these specifically as they are low enough to fit in my rack. Unfortunately no-one here in Belfast seems to have any cheapish AV receivers in stock so I'm unable to audition anything, forcing me to rely on the t'internet.

It will be used only for movies as I am using a valve amp for music. My room is only 3m by 2.5m.

    Thanks for any help.
