Thinking about an upgrade from this amp and would welcome any thoughts.

I could spend about £1500 (including trade in for 3802) and am looking for a better processing unit - good steering etc.

I use better quality front speaker power amps by Linn and I am only interested in the AV amp for multichannel sources (i.e. not CD)

Not bothered about a tuner - don't listen to radio.

I want master audio delay (potential plasma lip sync issues)

I was thinking about either Denon AVC A11SR or Yamaha DSP-AZ1.

Any views whether the upgrade is worthwhile generally and if so any preference for either of my shortlisted units?

    Cheers

Not sure about the Yamaha ... but I'm pretty sure that you need to go for the A1SR to get master delay - it's not on the A11SR. Alternatively you need to look at the new 3803.

Thanks - A1 SR is out of my price range at the moment.

I wonder if the 3803 will be a worthwhile upgrade from 3802?

    Cheers
