I'm going mad with this one - and I'm sure it's something really simple! I'd installed all the software and everything was fine with the USB 2.0. I've now got a firewire cable and am having problems doing a simple update. I've reset my mini twice now! The problem is that once I've transferred my library and then add some tracks to the library, when I go to connect again, itunes seems to recognise it as a new device. Even if I cancel and try to update songs, I get a message saying that it wants to transfer the playlist that the ipod is linked to and that there isn't enough space on the ipod.
I don't really want to uninstall itunes (I'm not even sure that will help) because I don't want to have to relabel the songs, genres, artists etc - so that they're uniform.
Please help a simpleton!!!
