    Hi all,

Couldn’t see it mentioned but Sky have tweaked their packages and the new structure is available to New and Existing Customers, definetley worth a call if on the Box Sets bundle and want HD but no Box Sets, just saved £8 a month by re-contracting with the new Entertainment at £20, adding kids for £5, HD for £5, no Box Sets (£5 if wanted) and keeping multiroom at £12, so £50 a month down to £42.

Certainly a more flexible way of managing the services and they can also be added or removed every 31 days.

    Just been reading about this.

I'm on the Variety Bundle + HD Pack @ £44 p/m and can see the potential to save some money here. Not sure which channels make up the Entertainment pack and what I would lose by 'downgrading' to this?

The Entertainment channels, and other sets of channels, are listed on the first page of Sky's web site.

Hi. The new Entertainment Pack is everything except for Kids Box Sets and HD (£5 each) and movies/sport same as usual so it may be you can save a bit, Defo worth a call.

Really annoying they still charge for bloody HD I mean come on what’s the justification for that exactly? It’s enough to put me off subscribing out of principle..

Agree, HD should in NO WAY in 2018 be a "premium".

Will have a look at this. As long as I keep F1 without paying for Sky Sports. I think F1 comes with HD.

You should have said "Yes, I use HD. Yes, I have a 4k TV. No I don't want to pay an extra £5 for it". :DNot that it would have made any difference though.:(

Unfortunately the F1 isn't included in the new HD pack. I phoned a couple of days ago and was told the F1 channel would cost me £18 p/m on top of the £30 p/m for the entertainment pack + kids +HD.

They flat-out refused to offer me any kind of deal as a very long-term (and out-of-contract) Sky customer so I am left weighing-up other options.

I’m on 60% of package and 67% of movies, I would like sky sports football and through my offers I can get it for £15.35 but I want it in hd, do you think if I phone them they will give it to me in hd for the same price or couple of quid more.

The best way to get a definitive answer to your question is to call them and ask the question. That said, I doubt they'll give you HD for free but hopefully they'll offer you some sort of deal.

Switch to the new Entertainment + Cinema + HD packs and it'll only be £35 a month (new 18 month contract for Entertainment). There's also a good chance they'll offer a discount too..

Is the move to 'packages' so you can have an add-on to your existing channels without losing your legacy arrangements ?

ie - I have SkyQ with the legacy HD package £12pm that gives me F1 UHD without the sports ... thinking of adding the £10 Cinema package for UHD and Atmos loveliness - but don't want to lose my cheap F1 ...

You can add Cinema without changing from the legacy package you're on.
However if you move to the new Entertainment pack then you would lose F1

I’ve currently got the full package plus multi room and managed to reduce my monthly cost from £92 to £75 for 18 months on a new contract, saving me £17 per month £306 over the 18 months after having a moan on the phone about my subscription charges. Well the call if you ask me.
