Nosferatu has already had a mention but I'm pleased to see MOc are bringing out excellent Red River and Dr Mabuse the Gambler

"British distributors Eureka Entertainment have revealed the titles they are planning to release during the months of October and November. Amongst them are Howard Hawks' legendary film Red River (1948), Fritz Lang's Dr. Mabuse: The Gambler (1922), and a box set with eight films directed by Japanese master Kenji Mizoguchi."

Still just Nosferatu for me. Glad, 'cause I was gonna be out of pocket if they released anything too exciting!

Very excited about Nosferatu but it has been common knowledge for a little while. Mabuse, though, was a nice surprise when they announced all this earlier today. This autumn is filling up with so many excellent releases that I might have to start prioritising.

I'm having trouble...got 9 pre-orders at the moment but a few I'm a little wobbly on (More Than Honey, Halloween 35th Anniversary and Pan's Labyrinth steelbook with updated transfer). Anyone recommend any of these: A Highjacking, Rebellion, Like Someone In Love, Much Ado About Nothing, Leviathan, The Long Goodbye, or Invasion of the Body Snatchers?

Of course Nosferatu takes priority over those though. Wish the sensible pre-orders were up when they announced them!

I never considered it was the same character. I always thought Lohman was a stock character name for german police inspectors.

I wouldn't have noticed unless I'd watched the two films back to back.

Don't forget there's a third Mabuse film by Fritz Lang made in 1960:
"Die 1000 Augen des Dr. Mabuse" (The 1,000 Eyes of Dr. Mabuse)

There was a cluster of other Mabuse films also made in the 60's but these were by other directors.
One of them:"Das Testament des Dr. Mabuse" (The Terror of Doctor Mabuse) starred our old friend Goldfinger - Gert Frobe.
