Ok some new interesting items from Datel arriving soon.
Like to hear from anyone that gets these. Due approx March 24th

Rather cool but this better be good £59.95
(Could eat the batteries even more says 25hrs though?)

Transfer "Memory Unit" Gamsaves / Photos / Gamertags to or from PC £9.95
Finally Perfect PGR3 Photos on your PC

    £99.95

I know there are alternative "self mod" ways of doing what both of these products offer, yet seems Datel are one of the first again.

tbh mine is a X2 3800 overclocked to 2.5Ghz (250FSB) its actually faster than a 4800+ and almost £300 cheaper.

    Whats the topic again.

to be honest im not seeing the point of bt headset. i mean if uv got a wireless controller does that tiny bit of thin cable from ur controller to headset make u wana spend £50. iv ran upstairs to loo wireless controller in hand u know what in other with headset on head,on mute of course and had no probs hearing wen the race is bout to start etc, not to sure a bt headset wud reach that far tbh (or perhaps want to lol)

The HS lead can be cumbersome if needing to set the controller down, get a drink or bite etc. I think thats the biggest benifit and it completes the wireless transition. For me it would have to offer good quality but id like to spoil myself having an all wireless solution but will wait for reviews.

One idea is, if you wanted someone else could be chatting with the headset perhaps via live or a private chat whilst your playing away at your game or of course this could be reversed with them playing something and you chatting away to.

Same goes for doing private chat if just browsing the dashboard, downloading off live or using MCE functions, no need to hold a controller in your hand etc.

Id pay £40 for a bluetooth headset, but not too sure about £60.

Im in real need of a wireless headset.
March 24th seems a bit soon seeing as we've heard nothing about them to date.

25hrs for the headset, but less time for the controller.

I still reckon wireless headsets have the flaw, of not allowing you to listen to the full goodness of your music. Like wired audio sources.

Fianlly a new head set due out. £60 is abi steep though. But i find the current ones uncomfortable to say the least. Hopefully they will come down abit.

The problem with the headsets at present is the wiring is so fragile ,they tend to break easy. On occasion i have pud the pad down and moved to forget i am attached, think these new ones would be good.(though a little pricy)

These are delictae pieces of technology, not kitchen gadgets you know. :D

To be honest, I wouldnt really see a wireless headset as a necessity - the set up for me works at the moment though it could be more comfortable.

Shame you can't just use any bluetooth headset... I've already got a SE one that cost me a pretty penny a few years ago... I really dislike the new headset, it always slides off my head and it's not very comfortable to wear. :thumbsdow

Have you got a despatch/delivery estimate then Anotherlimey?

the old headsets were much better, if that bluetooth headset works well then that would be great still a bit pricey though.

now i am not one who gels there hair but the old headset didnt disturb the 'flow' of the hair while the new one flattens it down. what were microsoft thinking?:D
