    Hi all,

I've taken a couple of piccys of my 42pw23p screen as found lunchtime today. Watched Lord or the rings yesterday evening with no problems at all and then this........

    Screen1

    Screen2

It looks like the red and blue guns have had a falling out in the middle of the screen. The convergence crosses are fine at the edge and in the middle about 3 inches apart

    Anybody have any ideas?

At a guess it's a call out job but am just interested in your comments

I've just (getting desperate) checked all the scart leads etc, everything is fine......

    BUT.....

on a whim i just tapped the side of the case lightly on the side nearest the scart leads and, it all went back to normal for a second or two, did it again and all seems to be well.

Anybody know whats in that area to be 'fixed' by a tap?

I'd agree with Lion.I had the same fault, the local repair guy fixed it and gave the rest of the tv the once over while he was there.I think it was about £55,alot cheaper than a Toshiba engineer

I'll call a local guy out in the next few days. I could attempt it myself :thumbsdow but...for £50-70 someone else can do it and it's his fault if something go's wrong
