Has anyone cracked the problem of unwanted breaks between tracks when ripping live recordings etc?
You can download a gapless playback output plugin for winamp.
It seems to work quite well.
The only other option is to fade the start and end of each track, which works ok for Live stuff, but isn't so good for continuous music.
Try this player:
and use the 'skip silence' and 'gapless playback' components.
This is the best solution there is.
Thanks for the suggestions but I only use MP3 in the car so need to resolve this at the ripping or burning stage.
Does your car player insert silence between tracks? (It probably does - most do)
If so, the only solution is to rip the entire CD as one big .wav file and encode to mp3. Easily done witn Audiograbber or CDEX.
