Unshielded Speaker Effect On Plasma

After blowing my tank on a PW7, Pioneer 814 Amp and canton CD1's I'm thinking of using my (unshielded) floorstanding speakers for fronts.
My question is can they damage the screen?
I had them next to my old Panasonic CRT for years with no ill effect,(12-24 inches away) though as it had speakers on the sides it may have been shielded.
Is it possible to damage a plasma display with unshielded speakers?

Short answer, no problems. They operate completely differently to CRT's

I remember my wife placed a fridge-magnet on top of the kitchen TV (old CRT 15") Lovely colours! Red grass and green sky! Had great fun sweeping a magnetised screwdriver around the screen to try to restore it to normal colours. Fortunately, switching off overnight and on in the morning degaused it!
(wife wont do that again)

I guess plasmas are not affected by magnetic fields in this way.
