I've had my Panasonic DVD recorder for about 2 years now.

One of the first, I think. I paid £499 for it. (Yes I know, now! )

    It's scart-linked to a Panny TU-DSB51 Digibox.

99% of the time, or maybe 95% is more like it, all is fine and dandy.

I leave it on "external link", select what I want to record from Sky's planner, and off it goes.

The other times, I want to watch what it should have recorded and, and....

    Nothing's there!

    Beggar.

I really have been enjoying "Afterlife" and wanted to record last night's episode. Failed.

    Why? Any offers welcome, please.

Wonder why you think its the E60 that's the cause? Could be the Digibox, Sky, clock, date, failure of ext link. Anything. I also have this E60 recorder BTW but don't use it much these days. It's on the shelf at the mo. Using E85 and ES20D. No sky and no digibox.

I don't suppose you'd like to flog it, off the shelf?

I could soon nip over them there pennines and give you a few bob. I fancy another for my bedroom tv. If I try and record the same prog with 2 setups, maybe I'll get nearer 100% of my recordings.

    PM me, if you do.

There are people on here that we are indebted to.

One such is "Illustrator". He gave me an internet link to watch a programme I failed to record.

No great shakes, you may think.

My son died of cancer when he was 16, some years ago.

Whoever wrote "Afterlife" must have been similarly affected. Afflicted.

    Illustrator has helped me.

    Very many thanks.

Like yourself this was an expensive purchase being the first dvd recorder I owned. Sorry but I will not be selling it. I may connect it with the Humax 9200T just recently purchased.

Hope your problems with the E60 iron themselves out. Try a good thump. That's what I do with mine. Perhaps that's why I had to change the graphics card in this PC. It kept on giving me a reddish screen until a good thump knocked it off completely. Bad connection somewhere.

    He he hee.

Somehow, I don't quite want to buy YOUR recorder.

    I wonder why.

Thanks mate, you're a good bloke, or girl.

I hope you realise Sean why I have to delete any discussions about downloading things from the net as nobody ever knows what is legal or not :)
