Hi guys,

I have just upgraded my phone contract and gotten myself an iphone 4G. My wife would like to use my old 3G, which has already been updated to 4.1, but she is currently in contract with Vodafone but the phone was gotten through O2. Am I able to unlock this phone for her to use on Vodafone, or is this not possible? If yes, can I do it myself and how? If I can't do it myself who am I able to get it done :smashin:

Many thanks.

Gary

Best bet and the hassle free way is to ring o2
If it was a contract they'll unlock for free
Or pop a pay and go sim in and tip up £15 to unlock

4.1 can't be unlocked yet via jailbreak so o2 is your best bet

I thought that may be the case! with regards doing it via O2 (it was a contract) do I simply take it in store?

How does the adding a pay as you go sim work? would I simply need to put in a Vodofone P&G sim and it would unlock the phone. Sorry but I am a real Newbie when it comes to phones. Also will unlocking via 4.1 come about some time soon
