    Hi

Started looking at Nokia 7210, but now im interested in the 7250i. Now on the net, sim free this phone is £220. But i have seen it on Orange for only £160!!!!!!!!!

However, i wish to use it on virgin, so i understand i need my phone unlocking to all networks.

Can anybody tell me how this is done, what places...etc do it?

    Thanks

You need to download an app that will generate the master code. There are a few available to do this job, some being more reliable than others. Try searching for DCT4 unlocker (if your stuck send me a pm).

Sorry, i didn't realise there was a response to the thread.
They are doing what i advised you to do yourself for nothing...search and download the code generator - they are free nowadays.

Yeo, i have the program. Generates 7 codes by the looks of things. Had a quick look on the sites forums who provided the software and looks a good place.

Code 1 or 7 (usually 7) will unlock it. Do you know how to enter the code ?

Well reading the instructions it says:

    take sim card out

Turn phone on, enter code then

    and thats it

(i don't have my new phone yet, and DCT4 doesn't support my old 3330 so i can't try it)

    Do i include the whole of the code, i.e the # p w and + 's

    THANKS

Yes. Don't keep entering codes in the off chance that one will eventually work, after so many attempts the handset will electronically lock. Try the 7th code first.

Great, i'll get mine eventually. I do have one problem though, in the past i have used 02 and T mobile and finally swapped to Virgin. I prefer this to the other two networks. Orange i have never tried but my friend switched from orange becuase they charge so much. The problem with virgin is that they dont support mms or gprs so i will probably revert back to 02.

Looks like my friend got in just in time then. He paid £130 when ordered on 31/12/03. Had to order via phone as the website wasn't accepting anything.

Yer, as i say, originally i found it everywhere at £160 but £130 was a bargain.....until they put it up. Not so happy now? What networks do you use, and are you happy with them, as i say Virgin doesn't currently support mms or gprs

Bearing in mind what patmyhead is asking, is this software suitable for all phones on all networks, ie Sony T610 on Orange?

    Regards

Sorry No, I am now considering buying that phone as i was about to buy the 7250i orange put that on their site. It looks like you need a data cable, that software is only available for nokia phones and will unlock the 7210 but you need to know what network its locked on to!

Have downloaded the calculator and got the codes. Took the sim card out (Vodafone PAYG) and am trying to type in a code. Problem is I cannot type in letters at the start of the code. Anyone any ideas? Got to be something simple.

    Cheers
