Hi, Does anyone know how i can unlock a MDA compact?Or where i can get hold of the software to do it? I don't really want to pay the £20 that these web sites offer.

    Any help much appreciated.

There is no such piece of software for this handset, not freely available anyway.

Just go to T Mobile and ask them to do it, they charge £15 for it so no need to go to those rip off sites.

Having had a few MDA compacts unlocked I would say just go to one of the "rip off sites". If you ring T-mobile they will unlock it for you and the fee varies between £10-£15 but you have all the hassle of fighting through T-mobile red tape .

If you use one of the online services the service is instant if a little more expensive.

If you are not in a rush for the phone to be unlocked, then use T-mobile but if customer services are proving difficult just put the dhone down and try again.

Ah, I've only just seen that, now that you have highlighted it. This must be a recent additional requirement as when I last used the site a few weeks ago I was up and running, sim unlocked within 10 mins.

I guess they've been scammed by bogus paypal accounts in the past. Not sure what to suggest now other than try your service provider again.
