Some scrote has nicked my Mrs iPhone today  Not sure when exacly but she thinks it was taken from her coat pocket while she was queuing in Asda!!!

Anyway, she's pretty gutted and down in the dumps about it at the moment cause she loved the phone and had a quite a few photo's on it that she hadn't backed up for a while!!

To try and cheer her up a bit I'm planning on getting her a new one off ebay. She's currently on Vodafone so I'll need an unlocked (and preferably Jailbroken) one.

I unlocked and Jailbroke her last (2G) iphone pretty easily. Is the 3G one just as straight forward or is it worth spending the extra money to get one that's already done??

Any advise (to help cheer up a pretty peeved off wife ;)) greatfully received!!

Just make sure you dont upgrade to the latest firmware (2.2.1) in iTunes as it breaks the unlock.

I would get a new one on pay as you go from O2. It would be new with warranty and now that they can be jailbroken & unlocked, it would work with Voda.

The eBay prices don't seem much cheaper anyway...
