Looking for a laptop for uni, mainly for using Matlab, Word, Chrome etc.

Budget of around £500 max (I can get 12% off John Lewis through my partner if that helps)

What size laptop do you want?
13"+

Do you have resolution requirements?
A good resolution for text clarity

How long does the battery need to last?
Around 6ish hours

Do you require HDMI output?
Yes, to plug into external monitor sometimes

No brand preference, must run Windows though as I can't get along with Mac OS or Chrome OS, and will be easier to switch between main PC and Laptop

Maybe something like this,

Dell 3000, I5-1135G7, 8GB, 512GB NVMe, 1080 FHD, not sure if its IPS. The only thing that might put me off is lack of USB-C port though it does have HDMI and 2 x USB 3.2 type A and USB 2
