Hi any one know if this screen is any good please. Can get it for £2000 new.

Universal MVP 42EV plasma screen


The Evolution MVP42EV has the following great features which make it a outstanding plasma screen on the market today:

Has a built in TV tuner with teletext, does auto tuning and channel sorting for you.

It also has an anti reflection filter, the viewing angle is 160 degrees, has a good brightness at 570 candela with a 600:1 contrast ratio.

Also it has the following inputs, 1 x Scart, S video, YUV, RGB PC with an audio out. It also has a inbuilt 2 X 30W amplifier and inbuilt graphic equaliser.

The screen format can be either 16:9 or 4:3 depending on what you are watching and has a in built screen saver.

The spec is pretty horrid by today's standards. With only 600:1 contrast, images are likely to be flat and lifeless with subdued colours and no real blacks. If it's very cheap and all you can afford, go ahead, but brace yourself for a not terribly good screen. It's likely to be based on an outdated Korean made panel.

Read again £2k for that? They must be kidding! Try relysis, can be had for less and makes some attempt to be decent.
 
Ok MAW cheers for info what are this best panal about then. Plus best bang for my buck today to replace a 32in wide screen all round. Will only using RGB.

Probably the same glass, but at least the rest of it comes recommended. Do a search for relisys, they do a 42" that's good value.
 
the TECHWOOD glass if not the holl thing is a rebaged SAMSUNG plasma screen
