    Hi All,

If any of you out there, are "Xena: Warrior Princess" fans, then DO NOT buy the newly released Season 1 DVD boxed sets. Apart from ballsing-up the original release, by issuing only the first 6 episodes of Season 2 to DVD, before cancelling the DVD schedule completely, Universal have now gone and done a re-release, but have only gone and bodged-up the running order!!!

With Set 1, you get episodes 1 and 2, and then 10-19.
With Set 2, you get numbers 3-9, and 20-22!

Duh!!! Talk about a hatchet job!!!

Also, the DVD's only have bog-standard stereo sound (no Surround Channel), and the picture is awful! More like a VCD, than a DVD!

Avoid at all costs, until another re-release occurs, or Region 1 do a proper job of it!

Universal UK know about this mistake, but they are not going to anything about it. They said they will try not to make the same mistake with future seasons.

Runours say that the R1 rights are owned by the same company that is releasing the Highlander series (season boxsets, "correct" episode order, extras, remastered, etc) and that they plan to release Xena once they have finished releasing Highlander

    CW,

Shame that they can't be arsed to do anything, but hardly surprising really. Guess I'll just have to wait until the R1 versions come along.

And to think that the UK section of Universal, could have made a reasonable amount of money if they hadn't screwed-up so much!
