Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities
out in the usual places
thanks for the heads up
Didn't realise this was now on air ... just looked it up and it seems they're still filming this 13-parter
- they're still calling it a prequel but it doesn't appear to have any connection to the characters of Underbelly; is based on "the real events of the drug trade in the New South Wales town of Griffith between 19761987. The series depicts the key players in the Griffith drug trade, including Robert Trimbole, Terry Clark, George Freeman, and politician Donald Mackay."
sounds good - really enjoyed the first underbelly
I have only seen the first episode but so far so good. I am so pleased they bought out a 2nd season.
enjoyed the first 2 eps looking forward to the rest
This looks like its going to be a cracking season. I loved the first Underbelly and this one looks like more of the same and dare I say its slightly better.
10/10 for the fist two episodes.
Excellent third episode.
Mr Asia reminds me of a cross between Leonardo di Caprio and Russell Crowe.
The new girl Alison is also a babe and spends most of her time with her clothes off.
Any news if an when this will come to FX? or do we have to hunt for it
Why wait, get hunting.
I already have and they're ready to watch, was just hoping they would be coming to FX soon, as I have far too many other shows that I already have to hunt for aswell
I looked on tv.com and it doesn't give any information on when the episodes air in AUS
It only shows 2 episodes so far, but there are at least 3
Its shown every Monday night in Oz.
agreed this is fast becoming one of my fave shows of the moment. i just finished the first season and there was not one duff episode.
The opening episode of last week was a double-length one, and so widely listed as S02E01-02, hence this weeks 2nd episode is also regarded as episode 3 or S02E03
I see that Sally from Home & Away appears next week
since it was the 70s, there would realistically have been some tuft at many of the angles they were shooting
She didnt look to bad either, allot better than I remember her looking.
Another great episode. 10/10
a thing that baffled me was spoiler
why did the ones who killed him take his body ?
loving the show
I think its because if there is no body, there is no evidence of a murder.
Also if they didnt take the body his wife would definitely have to tell the police as she would have a dead body in the house.
Now its the wives word against the criminals as there is no body so a murder can not be proved.
the blood in the bathroom ? the fact lil sally from home and away was there ?
Blood could be from a bad cut. If there is no body then there is no murder which can be proved. They basically removed the evidence.
The fact that Sal from home an away was there is another matter.
so the million bullet holes and shells came from where ?
Bullet holes doesn't mean murder you need a body for that.
Cheers for the heads up. Loved the first series but presumed it would be a one off.
Just sourcing now in HD. Lovely jubly.
looking forward to this tonight. this is one show that just keeps getting better and better.
edit: watched this. superb. even had a chopper cameo. as good as it gets possibly the best show i am following at the moment. the story is just tied together so well.
I loved the first season and the second one is right up there with it. Maybe the best thing about it is the fact its "based on real events" so you just don't know whos going to wake up dead or be spending the rest of their life banged up.
Season 2 is turning out to be superb viewing, better than the first season and that was first class.
clearly this earlier remark of mine no longer appears to be the case
Narrator/Detective Jacqui James: Caroline Craig just narrating this series though the character appears as the baby daughter of Senior Detective Liz Cruickshank - both fictional characters I believe
Alphonse Gangitano ("The Black Prince"): The younger Gangitano appears to have been part of the Kane crew .... not sure if this was ever true?? Nice nod to S1 with him walking over the police car.
Judi Kane played by Kate Ritchie (Sally off Home & Away) is step-mother of Trisha Moran nee Kane (Jason Moran's widow, biological daughter of Les Kane)
Mark "Chopper" Read ....
- now I thought this might just be a made up association, but Chopper himself confirms it: Chopper gives Underbelly understudy a tick - Entertainment - BrisbaneTimes
Another first class episode this week.
Nah, I couldn't be arsed to wait.
well up for this tonight.
