under £18.00 allowance under threat?

according to what hi-fi (received today) the E.U. decide next month whether to abolish the under £18.00 import and tax allowances, they reckon it's unfair competition for traders within the E.U. apparently if they abolish this allowance britain does not have to comply, I think everyone on the forum and everyone else for that matter should be aware of this.

but britain would comply because tony takes every penny he can get from us.
