I never imagined that I would see anything like this in my life! Its just such an amazing gimmick I cant wait for it! Each of the keys is programmable for what it is depending on the program that is open. You can even have buttons with little moving pictures on them!!!!

Isn't there a keyboard that is simply projected on the desk in front of you? It could potentially do this sort of thing a lot cheaper.

Still, this keyboard does look cool!

I know projection ones exist but they are typically made using lasers as thats the only way fingers can be sensed touching the button. Thus they would only be one colour... Still a good idea if your desk is cluttered but personally Id stick with Lebedev's keyboard if I can find the money!

The technology is all sound enough... I think their pricing prediction is maybe a bit optimistic though!! :D

Why so pessimistic? This is coming from Russia so it seems to have a good chance of success. The prototype has been built and is working....

I think that was said of the Tupolev Tu144. Unless its a tank or a rocket, the Russians can't do it.

I'm 99% confident it will one day be taking pride of place above my rack full of Aarons.... which are also quite literally 'too good to be true' ... ;)

Sure, the buttons are then labelled "OK" and "Cancel".

(Sorry, trying to be funny here ...)

Eh, even they admit that they haven't decided what the technology is going to be

OLED is already tried & tested in lots of different applications..

apart from that, it's a keyboard, and some software...

    check out this

the response times and brightness/contrast ratio alone signal the imminent death of LCD, as soon as other manufacturers wake up to the technology..

Sony and kodak (obviously) were both straight in there, as far back as early '03 for the first Kodak production camera...!

It'll be a while before we see expensive kit such as PJs, as they're still trying to overcome longevity issues with the technology... but once they do...
