On my 507xd i cannot output 1080p via component or vga? Why is this? 720p and 1080i work fine but not 1080p.

What on earth's the problem :thumbsdow

The 507XD cant display 1080p so leave the settings at 720p or 1080i!!!

It can display it via HDMI can't it? Scaled down 1080p looks nicer than 1080i or 720p scaled up.

maybe it can then. As for the picture quality it depends on the player being used. If its a cheap DVD scaling to 1080p and then downscaled by the screen i wouldn't bother.

Indeed, I was thinking native 1080p content.

    All,

527xd will only receive 1080p/24Hz over HDMI. It will not receive 1080p/50Hz or 60Hz over HDMI as well. Highest resolution through component is 1080i/720p.

XBox 360 will output 1080p/50Hz over component and the XBox 360 Elite outputs 1080p/50Hz over HDMI.

    The 8G Pioneers however accept 1080p/24Hz, 50Hz and 60Hz...

You might need to upgrade if you want it over [email protected]

The xbox outputs 1080p/50 if it's 50Hz content (R2 DVD basically)

it outputs 1080p/60 if it's games or HD DVD

Either way, sounds like your screen won't accept it
