UKHDMI - Bad Service

    Hi all,
    I placed an order for 1 cable with UKHDMI on Thursday 29th January and I still haven't received it :(

    I have contacted UKHDMI 4 times now and these were the responses.


    • Phoned them, "Will check with Royal Mail call you back" (NO CALL BACK)
    • Email sent to customer support (NO REPLY)
    • Email sent to customer support (NO REPLY)
    • Phoned them, "Although we don't send Recorded Delivery our orders are manifested with Royal Mail and the recent adverse weather conditions has slowed down the delivery." (They mention this because a staff member said he would check where it was with royal mail, because I questioned how can he check with Royal Mail where a First Class piece of post is which isn't sent Recorded Delivery.) Either way check back Monday.
    Its now Tuesday and I have sent yet another email, which probably wont get a response.

    I am unsure about how he can track this order but its not out of the realm of possibilities that they are manifested with Royal Mail. But still this order was placed on the 29th January and its now the 10th Feb.

    Has anyone else had bad dealings with this company? I know we have had some bad weather so maybe this is the case. But the post is working fine for my Business and I have sent documents first class up and down the company between the spell of bad weather we have been having in the UK.

    All for a HDMI cable, doh!!!

    Thanks for posting your experience, I'm looking to buy some cables imminently, I'll be sure to give UKHDMI a wide birth.:smashin:

    Even if the mail system is to blame, the lacklustre approach to your emails and phone calls is enough to put folk off.

    Hope your cable turns up soon.

    Their cables are supposed to be good, I only heard about them by googling and finding an old thread off here where people were recommending them and even a staff member of UKHDMI was replying in the thread.

    I failed to mention I have now asked they either send me out another cable or give me a full refund. This will be the deciding factor whether or not their customer service is crap or maybe this is just a one off/lost in post situation.

    Either way they haven't responded to one email yet, so what's the chances lol?

    I have bought a HDMI cable from elsewhere now, so I don't really need this one, but I am happy to pay for it as long as it turns up.

    I hope you get a resolution, have you thought about pm'ing Hdmihead? They've had plenty of satisfied customers on here and elsewhere so I'm sure it's an isolated incident and once resolved, let us know how you get on.

    Forum member Hdmihead of UKHDMI has been called away to deal with a family matter!

    I'm not directly associated with UKHDMI - though we do supply them with kit.

    I'll ask one of the UKHDMI Customer Service team to drop into this thread and sort things out.

    I am sorry for the multiple issues you have had with your order.
    1) we have moved to a new server and are having problems with emails.
    If you send your order number i will get another cable sent out.
    We will also refund your full money back.

    Hello Hdmihead,
    I have sent you a PM with my order number and details. As said in the PM, I am fully prepared to pay for the item, providing it comes and is sent Recorded Delivery so there is no doubt in anyone's mind where it is.

    I am not one of these people who complains for the fun of it or made this post to discredit you or get a free product. Just want what I paid for :smashin:

    I will await a response from you. Thanks for getting in touch and thanks Joe Fernand for obviously bringing this to you're attention. :clap:

    Thought it was strange...I have used them several times and the stuff has always arrived next day...

    I'm going to close this one here as contact seems to have been made and the problem is in hand with a good resolution in prospect.
