Hello everyone,

Me and the Mrs will be getting ourselves a bike (the motor powered variety) next year and are very much looking forward to exploring more of what the UK has to offer.

Of course I can (and have) looked on TripAdvisor of good places to go but there is nothing better than fellow people recommending places to go and things to see and particularly important on a bike, the best / most exciting route to get there.

Fire away people ... !!!

Anything over the peak District is normally good. A57 (also known as snakes pass) is great

North of Scotland - loads of small places, great scenery etc

You don't say what you're getting and how long the trips are going to last for.
Scotland is amazing for bikes but can you see yourself hacking 6hrs+ up the motorway in the rain to get there?

Considering your location get over to Wales through the Cotswolds. When you get confident on a bike and know how long your ar$e will last before you(or you misses) starts cry I'd get over to France. It's a stones throw from you and is brilliant (as is the rest of Europe).
