Hi All
I wondered if you could possibly help me.
Had SKY Q for a few years and decided to Upgrade my TV to 4k.
I have the UHD package already with SKY.
I bought 2 UHD 4k HDMI cables also.
My HDMI connection is split so into the TV, into the wall. then out of a separate HDMI into the Sky Box (as the TV is hanging over the fireplace.
So 1080p has been working great for 3 years but when I try and change the resolution on SKY it says it cannot detect anything.
But if I connect the 4k HDMI cable directly from the back of the TV to the sky Q box it works. and changes the resolution with no issues.
Do you think the split with the HDMI going through 2 connections can not handle 4k?
Obviously would prefer to use the 2 way HDMI connection as I will not have wires going everywhere.
Many thanks for your help on this.... its driving me crazy!
George
