Hello! I've just discovered this forum when looking for a solution to my problem. I am not tech-minded at all, so I hope you'll simplify your answers for me!? I have my second 7400. The first one was sent back to Currys with a mark on the screen. My replacement arrived yesterday. It took a while to set up - my wireless soundbar didn't want to connect. when it was all working, I noticed the menu box was still visible while watching freeview. It faded gradually over about half an hour. An hour later, the TV was on a show called 'Letterbox' for 30 minutes. I wasn't watching but apparently it's like 'Hangman' and keeps a box at the bottom of the screen. It's on/off throughout the show but there for a solid 2-3 minutes at a time. When I changed channels, I noticed I could see a ghosting of that show. I checked it wasn't a tuner issue and checked it with a DVD. Still there. Once again, it faded after 30 minutes or so I've always been aware of screen burn but surely a short show on an LED shouldn't cause it? Samsung support told me to reset my picture settings. And the classic 'turn if off and back on again', I'm guessing this isn't right? What causes it? Is it another defective TV or is it me? Thanks in advance for your help. Jurph.
