Question UE40D6100 Vertical Lines/Section cut off

Hi All,

I accidentally let go of one of my crutches (football injury) and it ended up hitting the bottom left side of my D6100 television! There are now some vertical lines and a crack mark on that side, though the crack does not seem to be on the outside as I cannot see it when the television is off. I removed the back panel hoping it would be a loose cable but I could not spot anything obvious.

Is the actual panel damaged beyond repair? Link to images below.

Yes it is definitely a cracked panel and not economical to repair. Even if a replacement panel was available, which is unlikely, the repair cost including labour would exceed the cost of a replacement. Claim on your contents insurance if you have it, or bite the bullet and buy new
