    Hi there!

I hope someone can help me...

I would like to bring a back-projection TV from the U.S. when I move to Europe soon. I know the PAL system is used in Europe as opposed to NTSC in the U.S. However, many TVs do not have tuners installed. Can I buy a PAL tuner and use it with a U.S. TV in Europe? Will I lose picture quality since NTSC has lower resolution, even if it is a HDTV?

I understand I need a volt converter, but I have now idea about the signals. Can anyone help?!

    Thanks in advance!
    :)

Without knowing more about the set in question it is difficult to be sure - but it is quite likely that a TV intended for the US market will NOT handle PAL TV signals at all. And converting PAL to NTSC for use in such a set is both expensive and degareds the signal noticeably.
