    Hi all :D

This is my first post on this forum so I apologise is it is a bit of a simple question.

I have just bought the above TV (and am sooo impressed!) but I have one small problem.

If my digibox is switched on and then I switch the TV on the TV does not automatically go to AV1 it always comes on on channel 0 - VCR. I assume that it should do this only because my last tv would. When I switch the digibox on after turning the TV on it does switch to it however.

This is playing havoc with my lie-ins over the hols as my kids go downstairs to watch tv in the morning and have to get me up to put it on the disney channel for them

    Cheers

Hello DR1V3R and welcome to the Forum. :)

This is correct behaviour (the tv, that is, not the kids  ).

To enable auto-switching with the scart, it needs the signal to appear, rather than be there already.

This makes sense if you think of what would happen if your Digibox, DVD Player and VCR were all switched on before the tv.

The poor tv wouldn't know whether it was coming or going!

    The solution?

If they're missing Disney, I'll bet the kids soon work it out!

Try this on the Sky remote:-

    Press TV
Press and hold SELECT and GREEN until the light blinks twice
    Press SELECT

That'll clear the Sky remote's "when SKY is pressed go to this channel" feature.

I'am also new to these forums so your patience is appreciated.

I was going to buy the Panasonic tx36pd30 -but as usual i left it too late and they have discontinued it to be replaced by the tx36pd50.

I e-mailed panny to see what the difference is and they just advised me its only the external casing theve changed. I am looking for reviews of the pd50 but cannot find any also they are not yet available in the high street shops yet so that i could have a look.

    Any comments/recommendations would be appreciated

    Thanks

    Shorter-depth tube (36" models)
    Black surround instead of grey
Quintrix SR2 tube instead of Quintrix SR (finer pitch)
A few other odds and ends I believe to do with progressive scan stuff

Just because it's been discontinued, doesn't mean all stock has been destroyed!

Locate one and you could get a bargain.

Mind you, that blaze in the Cardiff plant a few months back may have taken care of a few!
