Hello, I'm looking for some advice.

I bought a Panasonic TX32PH40 two months ago.
Straight out of the box there was a big purple blotch/bloom on the right of the screen.

I moved all my speaker's out of the way, switched the set off for a hour, turned it back on but no change.

I got an engineer out to manually degause it but again no change.
He noticed it was close to a radiator and suggested moving away from it, again no change.

I complained rather loudly so they have now replaced the tube :)

One week later.......purple botch back again:eek:

So now I need some advice please....
The set is in the corner of the room, about two feet away from a radiator and right next to a mains double plug, satellite and external ariel plugs.
The mains is split useing a surge protected double ganger with the excess of the 2 metre's of cable wound up on the floor.

All this is within two feet of the back of the set.

Please can someone tell me if I've made a magnetic hell for myself , if so how can I fix it.

    Many thanks in advance

    Dave

Radiator shouldn't affect it. The coiled cable may, but very much doubt it. What do they want you to do. Place the TV in a cow field so there is nothing to interfere with it.

Sounds like a duff one to me.

    Cheers
