    Hi Guys,

Had a quick scout round the forums & the LXD threads but couldn't find anything directly related to this q. When watching SD on my LXD85 if overscan is off there are white lines at either side of the telly & occassionally a white & black dotted line along the top. Is this just because of the difference in the native resolution and the TV upscaling the signal?

    Thanks!

    that's normal

Most SD source from Sky, cable, freeview etc... have noise around the edges. On my Sky STB, there's a white line/blue line on the left.

So enable overscan for SD, and disable it for HD
