We've had had our Panny TX32LXD500 for about three weeks now. Put simply, it is stunning!! Following weeks of comparison with most of the makes mentioned on this Forum, we shortlisted to two then trialled the Sony KDL-V32A12 alongside it and frankly, it was pretty close which got the vote.
However, both on looks and (just) on PQ, the Panny got the vote. Both of these are very personal to a large extent, so there is probably not a much to choose between them in the great scheme of things.
FWIW, the Freeview PQ is excellent, though we do have 100% signal quality on all but two channels and those two are 95%! The mainly confusing thing to a dumbo like me, is that with the panel linked to a Panny DMREH60 dvd recorder and therefore two manuals to try and understand and digest, I've had 3 or 4 set-up problems, which have been very ably sorted out by guys/gals on this Forum.
From our experience so far, I would very highly recommend the panel (and the recorder!) but like so many things, in the end it comes down to what you and yours personally like, and perhaps can afford.
