TX-SR308 Problem (Audio cuts out)

Hi everyone!

So, I just got the TX-SR308 set up with a cheap Yamaha 5.1 set and I'm having some problems.

The setup: Samsung UN40C5000 connected to the Onkyo via Toslink and Xbox 360 connected via HDMI.

The problem: The audio sounds great when I turn the unit on... for about 10 seconds. After that, no sound comes out at all. Changing between the TV and 360, playing with settings has no effect. Only turning the unit off and on again restores audio, and even then only for another 10 or so seconds.

Did I get a bad unit? Or am I being an idiot?

Any help would be amazing. Thanks!
