Anyone heard about this? Panasonic is bringing out a new standard def LCD, same spec as the LXD50, but with an HDMI connection in the back, for about and extra 50-100 quid.

    WHere did you see this?

The 32LX500 already has the same spec as the LX50, but with a HDMI connection. Albeit a few hundred pounds more

Isn't the LX52 the non UK model of the LX50?

    Edit
Now I am really confused....just had a look on the German Panny website, they have the following models

    TX32LX52 HD ready
    TX32LX55 HD ready
    TX32LX50
    TX32LX500 HD ready

God knows what the difference is....any german speakers in the house??

Nope, the 500 has different speakers, different housing, HD processing ( even though its got high resolution the 50 still downscales everything to SD ), SD recording and photoviewing and PC inputs. The 52 looks and is identical to the 50, but with the additional HDMI input.

The 52 is deffo going to be a UK model aswell.

Apart from a few wrinky dinks exactly the same technology/same panel etc as the 500 though. All seems a bit strange unless they are going to withdraw the 50 model.

Do you know of any other new models from Panny out of interest?

    Read the threads!

The LXD52 is exactly the same as the LX50 other than it has an HDMI socket....plenty of review of the LX50 in the magazines...all good.

    Hi,
I don't know much about LCD's as I'm not in the market for one but my parents are looking at buying something like the TX32LXD52. Is this a good choice or should they go for something else? It seems you can get it for about 1.1K online.
